ABOUT THE BLOG

This blog is about photography as an art media and photography as a communication tool. Here you will find references to photographers, discussions on photography and interviews to artists. You will also find references to publications and exhibits.

As someone who has profound love for this craft and admiration for many photographers, I like to use this site as an additional exhibition tool for their work. Specially, I am very interested in helping and promote emerging photographers. I think that contemporary photography is vibrant, highly creative and this generation of photographers includes invaluable talent that will re-define the craft in many ways.

There are infinite views to describe what photography means and what photography brings to us. In the way I feel it, photography is "a process" to experience and discover life and the world around us. It is "a process" that allows to create unique connections with people and reveals who we are inside, sometimes as part of our own discovery. Pressing the eye to the viewfinder, reduces our angle of view but enhances our soul by deepening our experience of the moment. Moments that otherwise would have no existence but become instants that define the texture of our life.

And if you can find out something about the laws of your own growth and vision as well as those of photography you may be able to relate the two, create an object that has a life of its own, which transcends craftsmanship.

That is a long road, and because it must be your own road nobody can teach it to you or find it for you.

There are no shortcuts, no rules.
