Nguan is a photographer located in Singapore that photographs people in the street. Most images are unstaged, with some casual portraits. What I like of the work is that the images capture well the energy of crowds while conveying the wonder of individuals. People appear to have identity even where they are among many, and single portraits elicit the interest to understand the circumstances, the place and time of the subject.

Capturing the “energy of crowds”…exactly what I dig about Nguan”s work.
Really enjoying your blog and your selections of featured work.
Love this work. This work looks at the streets today, its addressing the the present I can relate to the light, surfaces, people, colors etc. In my opinion one of the reasons a lot (Not All) of street photography fails is because it looks as if the images were taken 40 years ago, high contrast grainy black & whites.
