If you have a home you have a life
“Beauty of the Fight“. Beautiful story, beautiful images and beautiful film.
If you have a home you have a life, if you don’t have a home you don’t have a life.
Words that any of us could whisper, our home is our identify and our home is our shared community. ”Beauty of the Fight” is a film and and photobook by John Urbano documenting the life of two neighborhoods in Panama, El Chorrillo y Barraza. Like many undeveloped places, these neighborhoods have a mixed soul of hope and violence, both coalescent in what makes the best and the worst of humanity. This is an example of these stories that are invisible to many of us until people like John Urbano break the silence and create a voice that speaks about them. Nothing better than using the visual language of film and still photography to make us understand.
At the website you can see an interactive flip through of a few pages with a description of the book that is on sale as a limited print edition with all proceeds going to the families living in El Chorrillo y Barraza.
I want to visit Panama.
