I thought I had seen all in sports photography and nothing really original was left to be done.

Until now, this is.  

Today I came across this series, 2008 Olympic Athletes, by Magnum photographer Paolo Pellegrin. Amazing to see the crossover from photojournalism into sports photography, and how by being faithful to his style, Paolo Pellegrin breaks the rules and creates an outstanding piece of work of sports photography.
