Expiration Notice, a new online gallery effort … and bye bye to JPG magazine.
Mark Page (Manchester Photography blog) and Stan Banos (Reciprocity Failure blog) are starting a new online effort creating gallery, Expiration Notice, as a “place where photographers with substantive bodies of work who are 35 yrs old and over, and have no gallery representation can have their work seen and appreciated”.
Submissions [e-mail to expirationcrew@gmail.com] are now open with the first issue due by February 2009. It seems like a nice idea to open new avenues so that photographers can share their work.
Bye bye JPG Magazine …
By the way, perhaps you already saw the news, JPG Magazine is closing doors.
It is unfortunate to see this nice community and magazine going away, but in times when nobody likes to loan or invest in something more risky than a USA T-bill all suffer, and we all lose.
