Axel Dupeux

Axel Dupeux is a french photographer that recently relocated to New York City from his home city, Paris. He calls himself a portrait photographer and certainly he shows very nice portraits in his website. I wish they were presented in a more cohesive manner, though, [e.g. style, subjects] as I think they would gain in impact. The best images are located in the portrait section at the personal work.

Even when portraits and fashion appear to be his main gigs, what I like most of his work are the project series. These are projects that show boldness, sensitivity, drama, and beautiful compositions. The series slaughterhouse is quite dramatic and bold, and a project he could expand to become even more significant.
