Don’t take pictures, be taken by pictures
A quote that summarizes of one the most basic concepts of photography as an art. It is not so much about reporting life but about feeling the living space. It is about sensing the subject, it is about that immediate and primal reaction to what you see that makes the photograph, when the picture takes control of your actions. Don’t go to just take pictures, let yourself be taken by pictures.
