Photo-eye Magazine

Photo-eye magazine [online] was launched officially few weeks ago. It is certain that photo-eye magazine will become one of the most important sources of photography and photobooks in the web, expanding the influence that its predecessor, photo-eye booklist, achieved in print. To start, you will find several articles and book reviews in the current issue online, like the wonderful essay by Richard Gordon describing the 50th anniversary of “The Americans” of Robert Frank.
Photo-eye has been selling the best photobooks published round the world, so it was only a question of time before they should also publish a magazine that deals with books with equal intelligence. It is a most instructive read where the most poignant new books are reviewed, and book topics are discussed and given the status they richly deserve. Ar we are now beginning to truly appreciate the importance of the photobook to our photographic culture, photo-eye Booklist is essential reading.

Does this mean that Photo-eye is no longer going to be published in hardcopy and available at my favorite bookstore on the magazine rack, somewhat similar to what LensWork has done?
Good question Doug … not sure about that. I will ask them and get back to you!
Hope all goes well on your camp.

[...] I just noticed the announcement on Exposure Compensation about the change in venue for this fine resource publication. So appears that we will not see this [...]
Miguel,
Just a quick note to thank you again for this update, and I have now added a “Photo-eye” link to the Resources page of the other on-line journal that I write for (see above ping-back), as well as a link to your blog in the same Resources page. Your selection of photographers and well written articles have always been wonderful and a delight to read, and I am very excited to share this with the other readers of The Photo Exchange.
Best regards, Doug
