Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre: a work on contemporary ruins and urban acheology

Beautiful images and very intriguing topic. The ruins left behind in cities as they evolve and transition in time.  The two french photographers, Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre, have traveled across Europe and the U.S. to portray vanishing architectural icons,  concert halls where music has been forgotten, industrial buildings that saw better times, buildings reduced to the skeleton of concrete and metal.

  1. Awesome locations. they have some fantastic images. Nothing like shooting in places like that. I love to pose models in spots to give an out-of-placeness to the shots. But they are so few and far between. Or so tightly secured.
