The recording of your life

In the series Tête-à-Tête, Martine Fougeron photographs her own adolescent boys. I find this series interesting for a couple of reasons.
For once, the images capture casual everyday life with elegance but also they convey sort of a cinematographic storyline where you can grasp the behaviors and attitudes of typical adolescents. For second, it is always intriguing to see a photographer revealing the intimacy of her family with work that is intended for public consumption.
This series is a reminder that each of us perhaps should be more involved in developing a photographic project that captures our own life, our own people, our own families, and our own objects so we can use the language of photography to write the visual memory of our footprint in life. Next time, when you are wondering who/what you should photograph, take a look to your own house, to your own people, and embark in the most challenging project project of all: the recording of your life.

Thnk you fro writing these words. i liked them and it is encouraging to me.
