“Do Not Refreeze”: East Germany photography during the cold war ..

Perhaps one of the most intriguing aspects of photography is its place in history, both as a witness and as a defining factor that affects the course of events. In this case, the photographic memory of east Germany "Do Not Refreeze" shows that behind the "wall of shame", there was a graceful and charming society ... see images here and here .

Do Not Refreeze brings together a group of photographers whose extraordinary contribution to European photography has been “frozen out” by the Cold War.
